Belonging to the rose ketone family, this ketone presents a versatile profile. It is characterized by a distinctly fruity apple effect with clear floral and rose petal nuances and a slightly plum undertone. A highly diffusive and distinctive fruity floral ingredient.

This ketone imparts a unique effect to compositions, often used for its fruity apple note in fougère accords or its floral fruity character in rose accords. You can also use it to enhance all floral accords as it adds body and volume.

In 1965, dsm-firmenich’s team analyzed the Bulgarian rose essence, concluding in the discovery of not only the first rose ketones but how to synthetize them. Their work is still widely recognized as a key discovery process for our industry.
